The inventive Tim Willis, creator of massive, color-splashed monster trucks, a working robot and other whimsical, monumental creations. His works are on display near MOCA in University Circle, to the awe and delight of countless children and grown-ups. Willis, who says he loved Tonka Trucks as a child, has built more than thirty machines, many of which he stores in a West Side warehouse.
I have met Tim Willis, he is a most engaging man, frenetic of energy, and of warm spirit. He has freely given much joy from his work to others.
